TRAFFIC JAM or TRAFFIC LIGHT???

#TRAFFIC_JAM_OR_TRAFFIC_LIGHT?

Some days ago I was in a bus going to Enugu. There was what seemed to be a traffic jam and one of the passengers asked, rhetorically, IS THIS TRAFFIC OR TRAFFIC LIGHT? At that moment, the question didn't make much meaning to me, What's the difference, I thought to myself. Mtchwww.
.
After that incident, i was on my way to the school, and there seemed to be a delay. The junction (around Beach area), was always having some sort of delay/hold up! (I pass there almost every morning to work, so I know!). And on this occassion, i was particularly in a hurry to get to school early. So the waiting/delay wasn't welcomed at all! But we were stuck, and I had to chill! So i tried reflecting, as I couldnt read or do something else.

Just then, the question that that passenger had asked the other day, popped up in my mind! IS THIS TRAFFIC OR TRAFFIC LIGHT? I soon saw that the hold up/delay, was actually, primarily caused by the traffic light, that morning! And usually, when one is in a hurry, that RED LIGHT seems to last like, at least, 30minutes, 'cause every second is like a minute! :)
.
It soon dawned on me, that in life that some of the delays and seemingly set backs and sometimes even mishaps, are nothing but Providence's Traffic Light that comes our way to bring in a moment of taking time to grow up, and time to learn in order not to experience the harsher realities of life(TRAFFIC JAM)! Lessons that would definitely prove to be of immense help to us later are learnt in the moments of  traffic light delays!

The thing that traffic lights helps to avoid is traffic jam! When motorists are prompt to obey those traffic lights, the road is well managed, and the traffic easily conducted! When we disobey traffic lights we run into all sorts of unnecessary risks, and even endanger our lives! It does seem to be somewhat uncomfortable taking an order from poles bearing lights, but at the end of the day it pays off. We sometimes are tempted to run red lights, trying to beat the traffic light rather than slowing down when amber light appears, BUT THAT ONLY CAUSES MORE Trouble than we realized! Patience is the virtue we lack, and the virtue we must all seek !

Traffic lights seeks to reduce traffic jam by ensuring traffic control.
Likewise, in life, certain rules are in place, to ensure our safety. Certain seeming delays and life hold ups are there, only to help guide us against life's traffic jams-- the tragedies of this life! But only if we ARE PATIENT and  TRY NOT TO Be smart-- like we always do!

There is a reason that delay is there! Don't despair! Don't conclude. It's for the best. It's in your best interest. Wait! IT IS NOT TRAFFIC JAM, IT IS JUST THE TRAFFIC LIGHT!

That admission you haven't yet gotten. . .
That baby that hasn't yet come. . .
That promotion that you are still waiting for. . .
That contract offer you are looking for. . .
That sleepless nights you have been having. . .
That relationship that you had to give up. . .
That marriage that seems to be facing challenges, and you are thinking of quiting. . .
That prayer that seems yet to be answered. . .
FRIENDS, can I tell you something. . .IT IS NOT WHAT YOU THINK. Wait. Be patient. Don't give up! Don't try to take that short cut! Don't do it your way! Don't manage  that relationship, your partner who will meet your desires is out there! It is JUST THE TRAFFIC LIGHT that is causing this delay! And IT IS there, for YOU NOT TO RUN INTO THE TRAFFIC JAMS OF LIFE!
